Alfa Mist is a British musician, producer and songwriter. He started his musical career as a producer of grime and hip hop, before turning to jazz and world music.
A self-taught pianist and sometimes rapper, his style fuses melancholic jazz harmonies with alternative hip hop and soul music.
In 2015, Alfa Mist released his first solo EP, Nocturne, which was well received and marked the beginning of his recognition on the emerging jazz scene. His second album, Antiphon (2017), has amassed over 10 million views on YouTube. Subsequent albums, Structuralism (2019) and Bring Backs (2021), continued to explore and expand his musical universe. In 2023, he released Variables, a more rhythmic album, inspired by the return to live concerts.
In addition to his music career, Alfa Mist runs his own label, Sekito, which produces artists like Jamie Leeming, trumpet player Jsphynx, and bass player Rudi Creswick.
