Emel is a Tunisian singer, songwriter, performer and producer recognized for her powerful voice and her committed lyrics.

She launched her solo career in 2011 with her piece Kelmti Horra, which she performed during the Nobel Peace Prize ceremony in 2016, marking a key moment in her career.

She pushed the boundaries of her universe in 2017, then in 2019 with her second and third albums. Ensen (human) and Everywhere We Looked Was Burning.‍

In 2024, she unveiled a new album, MRA (meaning “woman” in Arabic), produced entirely with female artists from around the world.
Through this album, Emel invites her listeners on an even more assertive journey towards authenticity and emancipation.
